What do you know about Conductive Glass?

Standard glass is an insulating material, which can be conductive by plating a conductive film (ITO or FTO film) on its surface. This is conductive glass. It is optically transparent with different reflected luster. It depends on what kind of series of coated conductive glass.

The range of ITO coated glasses is 0.33/0.4/0.55/0.7/1.1/1.8/2.2/3mm with max. size 355.6×406.4mm.

The range of FTO coated glass is 1.1/2.2mm with max. size 600x1200mm.

But what are the relationship between square resistance and resistivity and conductivity?

In general, the index used to investigate the conductive properties of the conductive film layer is the sheet resistance, which is represented by R (or Rs). R is related to the electrical resistivity of the conductive film layer and the thickness of the film layer.

In the figure, d represents the thickness.

 1

The resistance of the sheet conductive layer is R = pL1 (dL2)

In the formula, p is the resistivity of the conductive film.

For the formulated film layer, p and d can be regarded as constant values.

When L1=L2, it is square, regardless of the block size, the resistance is constant value R=p/d, which is the definition of the square resistance. That is, R=p/d, the unit of R is: ohm/sq.

At present, the resistivity of the ITO layer is generally about 0.0005 Ω.cm, and the best is 0.0005 Ω.cm, which is close to the resistivity of the metal.

The reciprocal of the resistivity is the conductivity, σ= 1/p, the greater the conductivity, the stronger the conductivity.
