UVC refers to the wavelength between 100~400nm, in which the UVC band with wavelength 250~300nm has a germicidal effect, especially the best wavelength of about 254nm.
Why does UVC have germicidal effect, but in some occasions need to block it? Long-term exposure to ultraviolet light, human skin limbs, eyes will have varying degrees of sunburn; items in the display case, furniture will appear fading problems.
The glass without special treatment can block about 10% of UV rays, the more transparency the glass, the lower the blocking rate, the thicker the glass, the higher the blocking rate.
However, under long-term outdoor light, the ordinary glass panel applied to the outdoor advertising machine will be prone to ink fading or peeling problems, while the special customized UV-resistant ink of Saide Glass can pass the ink UV-resistant dependence test of 0.68w/㎡/nm@340nm for 800 hours.
In the testing process, we prepared 3 different brands of ink, respectively at 200 hours, 504 hours, 752 hours, 800 hours on different inks to do a cross-cut test, one of them at 504 hours with bad ink, another at 752 hours with ink off, only the special custom ink of Saide Glass passed this test 800 hours without any problems happened.

Place the sample in the UV test chamber.
Lamp type: UVA-340nm
Power requirement: 0.68w/㎡/nm@340nm
Cycle mode: 4 hours of radiation, 4 hours of condensation, a total of 8 hours for a cycle
Radiation temperature: 60℃±3℃
Condensation temperature: 50℃±3℃
Condensation humidity: 90°
Cycles Times:
25 times, 200 hours — cross-cut test
63 times, 504 hours — cross-cut test
94 times, 752 hours — cross-cut test
100 times, 800 hours — cross-cut test
The results of the criteria for determining: ink adhesion hundred grams ≥ 4B, ink without obvious color difference, the surface without cracking, peeling, bubbles raised.
Conclusion shows that: screen printing the area of UV-resistant ink can increase the blocking ink absorption of ultraviolet light, thus extending the ink adhesion, to avoid ink discoloration or peeling. Black ink anti-UV effect will be better than white.
